About GardenHelm
A steady hand for yard and garden decisions.
GardenHelm helps homeowners choose better products for their yards, gardens and outdoor spaces — from lawn care and garden tools to greenhouses, irrigation and outdoor structures.
What we do
Buying for the garden is full of big claims and small print. A mower’s rated area, a shed’s real interior footprint, the base a greenhouse needs, whether a drip kit suits your water pressure — these details decide whether a purchase works in your yard. We organize products by the job they do and write guides about the questions that matter before you spend.
How we choose
We aim to be useful and transparent about how our recommendations are made:
- Research, not hype. We review retailer specifications, dimensions, materials, installation requirements, warranty terms and retailer policies.
- Clear about testing. Unless a guide explicitly says so, we have not physically tested the products we feature. We never imply hands-on testing, measurements or performance results that did not happen.
- No invented social proof. We don’t publish fabricated reviews, star ratings, awards or testimonials. Ratings are only shown when they come from a verifiable source, and the source is labeled.
- Grounded in the listing. Product descriptions and specifications come from the retailer’s own data. We don’t add features or benefits a retailer doesn’t list.
- Dated prices. Prices and availability come from retailer feeds and show when they were last updated. Always confirm the final price on the retailer’s site.
- Product-first images. We prefer clean product images or products shown installed outdoors, and never replace retailer images with AI-generated ones.
